DEATH BATTLE! Rias Gremory V Mio Naruse (Highschool DXD vs Testament of Sister New Devil)

DEATH BATTLE!: Rias Gremory Vs Mio Naruse (Highschool DXD VS Testement of Sister New Devil)

Harems. Every man's biggest dream, and simultaneously biggest nightmare. Pretty unachievable in the modern world for any individual with morals.

Unless, apparently, you meet a big tittied red headed devil princess, who apparently are just destined to be head of your harem. Who knew?

For example, Rias Gremory, Heiress to the Gremory clan and shadow leader of Kuoh Town from Highschool DXD.

Or perhaps Mio Naruse, the outcast child of the deceased devil king, from Testement of Sister New Devil.

Both these series are ecchi at best and in ToSND (Shortened to Shinmai from here) case, straight up hentai at worst, so if you feel DEATH BATTLE! Blogs normally are in the scope of SFW? Yeah don’t risk your job reading this one. These demonic beauties are some of the most desirable in possibly all of anime, but while both are drop dead gorgeous, which one can make the other drop dead?

Lets find out.
If you were to live in a small town in Japan called Kuoh, theres a good chance you’d have heard of Rias Gremory. Kuohs biggest attraction is probably its High School, which until about 2 years ago was an all girls school, and Rias is one of the most famous girls there. Be it her crimson red, flowing locks, piercing blue eyes or, more crudely, her massive fucking rack, Rias tends to draw eyes in whatever room she enters with her angelic beauty.

But its not angelic, not even a bit.

Imagine a world where EVERY Mythology, from Greek and Norse to the Bible to fucking Journey to the West, somehow co-existed. They were ALL true in some capacity. This is the world of Highschool DXD, a world of near constant shadow war, subterfuge and deception.

Yes this is still the titty anime bare with me.

This is the world Rias and her Occult Research Club call home, and there is alot more to them than meets the eye. Rias is a Pure Blooded Devil Heiress, yes as in the soul sucking deceptive demons from yesteryear, but don’t worry they rebranded. Hailing from the Gremory clan, Rias is one of the most important figures in upcoming Devil Society, part of the so called rookie 4, and one of the most desirable girls in the whole underworld. So much so that, in an attempt to preserve the devil race due to their low birth rates, Rias was shoved into an arranged marriage from an early age, with an engagement to a devil named Riser Phenex looming over her head.

So Rias decided to live her free life to the fullest, leaving schooling in the underworld to go study in the human one. Her parents gave her the recently freed up territory of Kuoh town, together with her friend Sona Sitri, another young devil Heiress, to run and Rias set up shop, going to school by the day and at night, making deals with the desperate to make all their dreams come true….for a price.

Which is probably just a vase or something. Again, rebranded. Devils are pretty chill about this since the dark ages. Unless its something absurd like infinite money that'll cost your soul, but they'll tell you up front and warn you off it. Nice guys and gals dem devils do be.

This worked for Rias on two levels. On one hand she could gather members for her Peerage, a group of servants devils can gather if they have received a demonic chess set of Evil Pieces, able to reincarnate other beings into devils to serve them based on those pieces, and hopefully assemble a fighting force that could take down Risers own peerage and win her freedom. And on the other hand?

Rias Gremory is a fucking weeb. She is just a false tan and a bit of broken language away from becoming THAT GIRL in every slice of life anime.

But while it was in her best interest, Rias didn’t just reincarnate every semi powerful person she saw, and actually only used her pieces from a young age, even before Kuoh, on the dying and the desperate, on outcasts. Her best friend was hunted down by her own family who were shinto fucking priests and is ALSO part of one of the devils most fierce enemy races, the Fallen Angels. Literally all of her other servants were some form of political asylum seeker, be it from the church, vampires or even the devil government and Rias basically adopted all of them with no catch at all.

These individuals all had immense potential, but weren’t the ready made fighting force Rias needed to beat Riser. But the only thing bigger than Rias chest is the heart it holds, she couldn’t just turn people into servants. Only the needy and desperate that she could save.

Enter Issei Hyoudou, local pervert and perhaps the shining example of this. Targeted by a fallen angel in Rias territory, Issei was killed by the first girl to ever show interest in him (that he could remember at the time anyway) and by chance, Rias was summoned to the dying boys side.

No, she didn’t plan his death. No she didn’t have him followed. Does that match up with ANY of what i just said about her being a bleeding heart? Fuckin TNK. Basically ignore the anime except Season 4, ESPECIALLY Season 3. Unless you like tits, the tits are still nice.

She had no idea what she stumbled across, but she saved him anyway. Turns out Issei was one of the most powerful people on the planet, potentially. Lucky Rias! He also sucked then and there and Riser was really starting to get pushy. Oh shit!

Rias needed to get the gang in shape, and fast, but fortunately she could do just that due to her own inbuilt potential. Rias is a master magician, capable of using her demonic power to manipulate mortal memories, create barriers and control the elements. She can use magic circles to teleport, fly with her devil wings and enhance her strength to pick up giant boulders.

And in most fights, flight aside, she uses almost none of these due to her own inbuilt special power. Most people in DXD have this kind of relatively unique ability. Rias own peerage has a smorgasbord of its own, including holy lightning, catgirl sage mode and most of the people in the group with human blood have whats known as Sacred Gears, weapons bestowed on Humans (or at least, part human) by the fucking god of the bible himself(ish, its complicated) in order to combat the supernatural and not instantly die. These allow them to make a bunch of swords with varying properties, stop time, heal wounds quickly or even double their power once every ten seconds consecutively.

But thats just her servants, what about Rias? Well just like how she was born into devil royalty politically by her father, she was born into royal devil power by her mother, Venelena Gremory, nee Bael.

And the Bael clan had one of the most powerful abilities in all of Devildom, the Power of Destruction.

The Power of Destruction basically turns Rias into a mini Beerus. She can shoot it out in blasts, balls and waves in order to disintegrate pretty much everything it touches, right down to the victims very soul. The only way to survive is to overpower it or heal off the damage, or just plain old not get completely hit, though more realistically you need a combination of these things. The Fallen Angel that killed Issei and also an innocent outcast (guess where this goes) nun Asia? Her, and her entire band of groupies, all got one shot by Rias, effortlessly. The only reason she didn’t go and instantly nuke their whole base was because politics.

So with this power Rias was able to easily keep up with Riser and his peerage, and whip her own into a fighting force in the process. Unfortunately, Riser had a full peerage and Rias only had 4 people by her side, with Gasper, her cross dressing vampire boy of a bishop, temporarily out of action, and as a Phenex, Riser could heal himself as long as he had demonic power, and was at least as strong as Rias. The rest of his peerage all also had healing items called Phenex Tears produced by his clan, making them really tough to take down, but despite defeating 13 of their 16 foes against all odds, Rias lost the match against Riser, forfeiting to save Isseis life, and was doomed to a life of misery with a man she couldn’t stand.

SIKE YOU THOUGHT!

With a combination of sacrificing part of his body to the dragon in his Sacred Gear a cross and Holy Water (Holy shit is devil kryptonite) Issei took on an opponent he had no chance of winning against normally and won, which is a pretty big precursor to the absolute madlad the dude would become.

And also the exact moment Rias fell in love with the little perv. She found him cute, entertaining and earnest before, but she fell head over heels for him here. Now she went from sleeping naked beside him to heal him (Cause she can do that) to doing it because to be honest, Issei may be a huge perv, but the girls in DXD are much worse and don’t know what boundaries are. They are all okay with being in his Harem, even happy about it cause it means they are all happy, but they are the ones who basically force him to spend time playing porn games while they all sit and watch and comment and try to OPTIMIZE that shit.

Imagine, in the space of a year you go from being the laughing stock of the school, peeping on girls in the Kendo club to having a bunch of the most attractive girls around, sitting around you in your room telling you how best to take Rin Tohsaka's defenseless anus? That was Isseis life. Equal parts amazing and embarrassing, and Rias was happy to be near the center of it. The uncontested number one girl. Like her mother before her.

Yeah turns out Devils and Polygamy go hand in hand, even Rias dad had a harem. Her problem with Riser wasn’t that his peerage was basically his harem he played around with (And his sister, who, haha, Issei then stole the affections of!) but that she just didn’t like him and his attitude. Again, Girls a pervert, not the biggest of the bunch, but a pervert nonetheless. She also wanted to be the wife of a man she loved, not some glorified concubine, but Isseis Harem is only girls he loves and that love him, and all wives, no concubines, so it works for her. Its worth noting Issei saving Rias was not important in the grand scheme of things, as Sirzechs was ready to save her should Riser keep pushing against her will that night. However this had the bonus of not forcing Sirzechs into political trouble and getting Rias parents off her back, as they approved of Issei. Also fun fact, Reverse Harems are apparently as common as Harems in the underworld. Titty anime isn't sexist in the weirdest places

However with the specter of Riser off her back and her day to day biggest concern being teenage struggles and unknowingly trying to combat Isseis Fallen Angel induced PTSD, Rias didn’t have as much pushing her to improve when the chips were down, despite the fact because of Her and Isseis presence in the area as well as a complicated history, Kuoh town had become a hot bed for international mythological incidents. This led to members of her peerage both new and old, ESPECIALLY Issei, all surpassing her, in some places by leaps and bounds. After being reduced to a titty shaped power up button for Issei in times of need, Rias went back to training to hone her built in power and technique and try catch up.

There is some debate in the DXD community about if Devils can actually train to increase their demonic power, when it comes to power scaling debates, which leads to the question on if Rias is getting more powerful or just drawing more latent power out, but Issei is kind of proof that yes, she likely has just flat out gotten stronger. Issei started the series not even being able to use teleportation circles and now his Devil aura, by far the weakest aspect of his power, is that of a high class devil. Rias was told she was a high class devil even at the start of the series with no training whatsoever, but with training could be stronger, and has since reached ultimate class, one of the hardest to reach ranks of devil power, only behind the Devil Kings AKA from here on as the Maou and the freaks of nature, Super Devils, which are born or created, not trained.

But alot of Rias training was actually spent developing combo moves with her peerage such as Crimson Extinct Dragonair, where she dons part of Isseis armour, specifically some flying Wyverns he got after mastering yet more of his sacred gear, the Boosted Gear’s, power, or Forbidden Invade Balor, where Gasper turns into pure Darkness and cloaks her, both basically giving her an insane boost in power and access to the boy in questions abilities. However both require Issei or Gasper to actually be there, which naturally would be against standard Death Battle rules unless she can summon them, which she can’t. The only members of her peerage she can call in are Rooks (Koneko, the sage mode cat girl and Loup Garou, a fucking werewolf, as of Shin Volume 5), via swapping places with them, i.e. Chess Castling, but she has no shown way to easily call in a Pawn or Bishop like Issei or Gasper on the fly. So basically nearly all the training Rias did to keep up with her insane colleagues is kind of useless. If Rias theoretically could call her entire peerage, Issei would be able to call in HIS Peerage (Yeah he got one near the end of the first series, before the rebrand to Shin DXD) and from there Xenovia, Rias former Knight and Isseis CURRENT Knight could call in HER Peerage (Shin DXD 5, it's complicated) and it's just a mess. Fortunately she never showed off these abilities when it could have aided her, such as when she was stuck in the vampire homeland, so we can assume she can't do it.

Nearly all of it.

Rias had been training with a goal beyond Riser in mind from an early age, to become a champion of the Rating Games, basically the devils number 1 sport, peerage v peerage warfare, exactly like the game with Riser, where defeated players are teleported away to safety on defeat. This is fine, but as more and more life or death situations came calling to Kuoh town, Rias realized training with the sport in mind wasn’t going to cut it. She also noticed that sleeping naked beside Issei and removing his draconic aura overflow (all the girls do it, it makes sense in context blah blah titty anime) had mutated her Power of Destruction to a degree. Putting these thoughts together, Rias developed one new killer technique. The Extinguished Star.

Extinguished Star is a hyper dense ball of unique Power of Destruction. It takes a bit to charge, but once it is, Rias throws it at a, admittedly, slow speed and it just sucks in everything like a black hole destroying everything it touches nigh instantly, and due to the condensed nature of the power it can destroy enemies Rias normally can’t touch. The move is so deadly it's banned from rating game usage, not for comedy reasons like Isseis more perverted moves, but because it would kill a victim before the teleport system would save them.

So with all those bases covered, how strong is the Crimson Haired Ruin Princess?

Well we know her base Power of Destruction is superior to Base Issei's charged Dragon Shot, at least at the beginning of the series, and That was able to punch a massive hole in a mountain, but thats far from either of their peaks. In Volume 5, Koneko was attacked by her “evil” older sister, quite literally the Itachi to her Sasuke, Kuroka,in order to take Koneko away to the evil side and more importantly, train her in her Senjutsu powers Koneko had been suppressing. Rias and Issei chased Kuroka down and were easily defeated by her overwhelming Ultimate Class power and her techniques….until Issei unlocked his Balance Breaker, basically a super mode all Sacred Gears have, and broke the field Kuroka had them trapped in and vaporized a massive mountain in an instant, pretty casually. All of it. Just gone.

It sounds like this wouldn’t scale to Rias at all, given how helpless she was in the moment, but Kuroka only bailed at the time because she thought beating Issei would be a hassle, not because she couldn’t do it, and base Balance Breaker has been STUPIDLY Power crept since then. Rias can defeat opponents in base Issei needs to go up a form to handle these days, so she definitely scales. And that's not counting Extinguished Star, which is just nutty in comparison.

In Volume 9 while on a school trip to Kyoto, Issei and the other second years (Rias wasn’t present) were attacked by the Hero Clan and members of the chaos brigade for reasons that aren’t important to this analysis, and Xenovia, being the crazy bitch she is pulled out her new weapon, ExDurandel, which is her normal Holy Sword, Durandel, covered in a reforged Excalibur. Yes that one. This was done in order to better direct and control its power. Xenovia gave it a swing and left a massive crater in Kyoto, except this was an alternate version of the city that was EXPLICITLY made more durable. The group later went up against the Evil Dragon Grendel, who took the same attacks from ExDurandel like they were nothing, as well as attacks like Isseis dragon shot and even his Crimson Blaster (Which destroyed ALL of said more durable Kyoto) to back up that scaling, and a bunch of attacks designed specifically to kill dragons and evil beings. Basically, Grendel was almost invincibly durable for the ORC at the time.

Then Rias tossed the Extinguished Star at him and would have killed him had he not teleported away while in the middle of being atomized, and even with regen and healing facilities available via another sacred gear, Grendel was still out of action for a good long while. So Rias scales with this move to pretty much anything in the gangs tier at the time and since, though even Extinguished Star can’t reach the heights some of the group would reach, or even Rias herself in her forms.

At a very high ball, i.e. an unrealistic one, we could scale Extinguished Star to Maou class individuals such as Serafell Leviathan, Sonas sister, who could apparently destroy Japan with her….sparkles. Which is fine, but she’s an ice mage, not a light mage, this would just be part of her Magical Girl routine, so this is BEYOND casual. Personally don’t buy this, but worth noting down. DXD does have Country+ Level feats, but they were performed by Issei or Vali in their Dragon God forms or True form Sirzechs, all of whom are vastly more powerful than Serafell, who is in turn much stronger than Rias at this current point in the series. Rias needs her forms to reach this tier as seen with her fight with Grayfia. Also naturally she wouldn't scale to Isseis Planet Busting AxA form, full power Ophis, the Great Red or the foes from the ExE dimension who killed the Great Red casually, though this could feasibly change as the series winds up.

Speed is much easier to solve. Akeno, Rias queen and best friend, who has been and seemingly always will be Rias equal since the beginning of the series, has been able to dodge her own cloud to ground lightning since the beginning of the series, as well as several other weaker characters in other devils peerages besides, but couldn’t keep up with the stated since the start to be faster than light Vali Lucifer, Isseis Vegeta to his Goku, while he was in his Balance Breaker, not even close….at the start of the series.

As i said, the Balance Breaker tier has long since been power crept, so they’d scale now, and to back the statement up, a fodder member of Rias Cousin Sairaorgs peerage named Crocell, while in a Rating Game with Rias peerage, was able to reflect light magic after it had been fired by Rossweisse, Rias rook at the time, with time to taunt her in the process because fuck me these people are quick. The blast of magic was omnidirectional, reflected off a mirror specifically and devils like Roseweisse can’t make holy light unless they are fallen Angels as well, like Akeno, ergo its real light. So thats a Relativistic feat for fodder, far below Balance Breaker Vali, lending credence to that statement and Rias has since surpassed both their power at that point in the story, and was arguably superior to Roseweisse and Crocell even then.

Despite her frankly prodigious level of power, Rias is far from invincible, often being defeated in the series and having to be saved, mostly by Issei, or later on sitting on the sidelines unless Issei or Gasper help her transform. As a Devil, she’s slightly weaker in the day time, though its not noticeable, and is weak to holy magic and purification. She may be a good soul, but that good soul is technically made of evil energy which those attacks counter.
Her Extinguished Star takes time to charge, less so than before but its still realistically hard to land, and while she is tactically gifted in terms of breaking opponents strengths and weaknesses down, that mostly helps her find where best to apply her vast reserves of power rather than actual strategy. If the Power of Destruction is overwhelmed, she’s basically helpless, with little to fall back on.
Despite her super strength mentioned earlier, she’s very much a classic mage fighter.

And worst of all, she's still a teenage girl with all the emotional baggage that brings in pop culture. Also, still a massive Weeb. Yes this is a weakness. Her mother once ordered her to clean a room full of her Japanese souvenirs, which was full wall to wall, floor to ceiling and she started fucking crying, YOU LIVE IN JAPAN YOU CRAZY WOMAN!

Despite all of this, Rias survived the hellish year most of the LN takes place in, and graduated highschool, and upon graduation was proposed to by Issei, which she accepted happily. Despite Issei since proposing to seven other girls with more literally prophesied, she’s never been happier (in fact pushing him into several of those because Isseis dense as an Extinguished Star). And after Issei became a high class devil and got a peerage of his own, Rias transferred ALL the servants she had acquired since meeting him to his ownership, essentially starting her peerage from scratch from the day she met him. Those were people he brought her into contact with, from here, she’d do it as she’d done before, finding souls adrift and giving them a loving home and a family.

And one kickass team who’ll beat Angels, Demons and Gods in the name of peace, boobs and the Gremory family, all at the order of the Crimson Haired Ruin Princess.

"My name is Rias Gremory. I am a Devil. And I am your Master. Nice to meet you, Hyoudou Issei-kun. Can I call you Ise?"

A long time ago the mighty Ten Gods gave birth to Humans. Naturally, Demons from the Demon realm, who the gods were feuding with, weren’t too happy about beings in their great enemies likeness roaming a dimension connected to their own, and thus waged war. To combat their hellish foes, the gods granted select humans the power of Heroes, who got buffed physicality and the ability to sense and even ally with the supernatural. A war began, The Great War, between the Heroes and Demons.

But after a while, some of the more mellow moderate demons, literally named the Moderate faction, started to be less gung-ho about murdering and enslaving all the humans for fun, especially when several of them fell in love with and subsequently had children with some normal humans, not even Heroes! A demon having a child with a Hero would be absurd!....We’ll get back to this one.

Either way, the moderate faction, in particular the current ruler of the Demon World Wilbert (PFFFFFFT) wanted nothing but peace with humans, heroes, gods and their more zealous demonic counterparts. But Wilbert knew there was no point in him forcing through these changes with his power as the strongest demon lord, that strife would be constant in his realm if he did so, so he did the only thing he could. He died. But Wilbert had a daughter, with his deceased human wife Ashe, so he needed to protect her. In his dying moments he sent his daughter to the human world with some of his subordinates and transferred his power into her, hoping for a peaceful life for his eldest child.

Theres several false facts in there. For one thing, Wilbert never died. He transferred his power, yes, though he hardly lost any of it himself and still was absurdly strong, but he actually just pretended to die of illness and began posing as his completely fictitious brother Ramses who began to…..lead the Moderate faction. But now the more zealous demons were in control with a puppet demon lord, who himself was more moderate and actively rebellious, but still, overly complicated resignation there Willy. And the idea that, once he transferred his power, his daughter would be let lie was overly naive.

And so, upon the whims of her overly eager observer Zolgear, Mio Naruse's life as a regular Japanese schoolgirl was shattered in a bloody instant.

Fortunately the moderates didn’t leave her completely high and dry and sent the slightly younger but vastly more experienced Succubus Maria to help Mio run, and train in her newly found magical life. Maria helped Mio learn the basics of the world of magic, and Mio was quite adept at it.

The world of Shinmais combatants can be broken down into four types of fighters, Power, Magic, Speed and Technique, and while most fighters will have a bit of the other elements in their styles, there is always one of the four they are best at. And Mio, fortunately for her with no physical conditioning beyond that of a regular girl, was pretty gifted at using Magic. Mio has shown nearly every kind of magic her world has to offer, and pretty early on in the series too.

She can shoot fire or make it rise up from below opponents, launch massive gusts of wind and make tornadoes, fly, call down lightning, make torrential floods and make defensive barriers. She’s one of the most skilled mages in the series despite by the end of the series, only really training for two years at most!

And she didn’t take up these skills in order to defend herself, oh no, Mio wanted to kill the one who killed her parents, the demons who raised her, Zolgear, who was a high up member of demon society. And she and Maria needed a base to work out of, so they approached a random guy, Maria altered his memories to make him think he was marrying their mother and planned to have him and his son move out to the countryside while they took their house.

They shouldn’ta did that.

Turns out that they just HAPPENED to pick out the exiled strongest Hero Jin Toujou, whos nickname is fucking “God of War” and his son Basara, the reason Jin was exiled in the first place and a Hero prodigy. Also turns out that this was a set up created by Wilbert, his sister, several gods, Marias mother Sheera and Jin himself (You really think puny succubus magic would work on the strongest Hero? Puhlease) in order to get Mio and Maria into Basaras care and keep them safe. And hey, after a few missteps with kicking them out of the house, attempted murder, childhood friends coming back specifically to keep an eye on and possibly kill Mio, it worked!

Sister New Devil…..its….its in the name. She's Basaras sister now and she's a brand new....devil...ANYWAY Basara vowed he would protect his new sisters with everything he had, even agreeing to become Mios servant.

Maria fucked it up, and the reverse happened. If it was even a fuck up is even up for debate, Marias a scamp like that.

The Master Servant Contract is a demonic magic spell designed to help two demons grow their powers together through intense loyalty. The two parties can locate each other wherever they may be should the master will it (The primary reason the contract was made in the first place) and as the servant becomes more and more subservient to the master, the stronger they both become….buuuuuuuut if the servant should even think about betraying their master or even have guilty thoughts that they MIGHT have betrayed them, the contract will punish them. For most demons this simply means they’ll go through intense pain, but not so for a contract made with succubus magic. It makes you really sensitive and reallllllllllly horny.

About now is where seriously NSFW stuff is just gonna become the norm. You have been warned.

While Mio was pretty skilled, the power she could actually wield was nothing compared to even her early foes, so this was pretty essential for her. So her days consisted of going to school, training magic and then being tricked by her sister figure and/or Basaras childhood friend who also became his servant soon after to do horny shit with him, which she gets really into when its happening. Like half the chapters in Shinmai are these subjugation sessions; they really are quite essential for the plot!

Unfortunately, it couldn’t last, and Zolgear snatched her from her home thanks to a blackmailed Maria, who was working for him the whole time to save her mother who Zolgear had captured and who she believed was helpless, as much like Mio received her Fathers power upon her birth, Maria got most of her mothers….but unknown to her, Sheera, her mother, was still plenty strong, could probably kill Zolgear with ease and could escape at any time. Whoops!

Zolgears plan was simple. Drain Wilberts power, assault Mio (HATE) so she feels guilt, triggering a pleasure loop that’d break her mind, then keep Mio as a pet. Man having Wilberts power sure sucked.

Literally, as Wilberts big trump card was Gravity magic.

This magic does exactly what you think it does, being able to cause immense pressure, crush basically anything and even form black holes and paths to other dimensions! Turns out, while Mio does have Wilberts power, she also has her own supply, as does anyone in Wilberts family tree. And her own raw power was enough to burn off Zolgears hand, and then she got saved by Yuki, Basaras other servant, and later Basara, a remorseful Maria and some other parties, and they beat back Zolgear. She got convinced by Basara to let go of revenge, (Which Basara went full hypocrite on the same day) and looked forward to the rest of her life as a normal, demonic girl with gravity powers.

Then they got called into the demon world and after some twists and turns courtesy of the more zealous demonic council, had to fight for their lives in some sparing matches that, cause politics, would determine the fate of all of demonkind. Then they repelled a terrorist attack on the Demon world by the god Chaos, whom Mio was essential in defeating, using her Gravity magic to create a Black fucking Hole and seal Chaos in another dimension.

While this all led to the issues with the demons and her father being resolved, and was actually the first steps to demonkind living in peace, the Human heroes were still a problem, and they tried very hard to uproot the groups normal life. But then their resident SuperSoldierProgram.exe Shiba went rogue and was gonna become a god to destroy the Vatican and all the Heroes on earth….Yay?

Naturally the group couldn’t stand for this and went on to try and stop him in Tokyo, which Shiba was using the spiritual significance of to gain more power and actually drove back the four gods of the Hero clan Shiba had enslaved. Mio in particular fought Byakko, who was considered the second strongest of the group, one on one and evaporated it, after trapping it in an electromagnetic field she made by picking up metal sand with a tornado and electrifying it. Bitch is scary smart.

Unfortunately Shiba defeated the group and they were left reeling with seemingly no tactic left to win before Shiba summoned the king of the 4 gods, the Dragon King Koryuu, absorbed it and combined it with his already significant power which included one of the 10 divine gods from the divine realm (the same ones that made Heroes) and used its unique abilities to launch assaults in the Heroes, particularly the vatican, from anywhere in the world. Fortunately they had their own member of the 10 gods on their side and Chisato came up with a last gasp plan.

Evolve the Master Servant Contract.

The Master Servant Vow is the final form of the contract, unlocked only when the Contracts loyalty is at its highest and absolute, but even then its difficult to progress it as the servant then has to give EVERYTHING to their master. Heart and soul, mind and body. Including the Virginity. And most contracts either are made in dubious circumstances or become amorous enough to go to the bone zone before reaching the level it could evolve. Fortunately, this is a Harem LN so enough cockblocking went on to keep the girls “””pure””” until now. They fucked. And this powered up everyone involved.

Also they had multiple orgasms. Up from 9 or so start of series to like 100 in only 5 hours.

Thats not how biology works. None of that.

The world record for the most orgasms in one hour is 134, supposedly. Another reported 20 in 20 minutes. Mio would probably shatter these records if pushed, as her recovery time was just a few hours and it was her first time!

Questionable body functions aside, Mios power grew to a frankly absurd degree, giving her much more control over her gravity powers and some more fire powers, as Mio represented Fire in a really complex cress cross of a power up they gave Basara. She became capable of repelling the combined might of Byakko and Sakumei, a Qilin or an Aspect of Koryuu with comparable power to the 4 gods like Byakko, using a barrier of fire. She couldn’t defeat them both but once Byakko was removed from the battle by an ally she defeated Sakumei quite effortlessly with her brand new Hellfire magic, which uses Gravity to power up flames bursting from the ground while also pulling the foe down to the fiery abyss.

She even later used her gravity to open up a dimensional space to block almost any attack. And with a bit of charge, she was able to use pure gravity power to catch Shiba off guard….it didn’t hurt him, or even slow him down, but it did stop him for the split second Mio needed to reach into his own corrupted dimension and pull Basara out, though Basara needed to use his own gravity magic to do it.

Yeah, turns out this Master/Slave big brother/little stepsister play is also actual incest. Shinmai family trees look like circles. So Mios father is Wilbert and mother is a human named Ashe right? Well, Wilbert had a sister, Sapphire, who was just as strong as Wilbert. She was a frontline leader of the demons which led her into contact with the Heroes, which she killed alot of...except for one. Jin Toujou Basaras father. You can see where this is going. You probably don’t see coming that there was another woman, Raphellene, one of the 10 big Gods, who took the fetal Basara in her own womb to birth for political reasons, which because magic means Basara had two mothers. Also blood of a dragon from when Jin ate one.

What the fuck did I just type. Either way, cousin fucking is canon. Twice over, cause also turns out Maria is Mios ACTUAL Half Sister, from Wilbert. Stack on the 4 different characters including Mio and Maria whom Basara fucks who call him big brother, the weird fetishes the girls have (Armpits? Ears? THE HYMEN AND WOMB?????????) and the girl who Basara literally big dicked into staying a girl (Vampires, long story.) and this is....just a weird, weird series. Light novels. not even once.

(Gif so long i needed a separate editor for it lmao)
But we aren’t here to kink shame, even if I feel its very warranted, we are here for stats and feats, and Mios got plenty.
Mio scales to pretty much everything outside endgame Basara, Shiba, Koryuu etc, and you could even argue that she may even reach those highs at her peaks. She’s stated to have the potential to surpass Wilbert, who can at least compete with these 10 god tier people, she staggered Shiba for an instant with a charged up assault and Maria, Kurumi and Zest were able to push Koryuu to its absolute limit, though they didn’t win and all 3 needed to sacrifice their life force as power ups to do it.

The other girls arent slouches either, Yuki 1v1ed a Heroic Spirit god before anyone else did with pure skill, Zest was the only girl capable of holding back Heroic spirits on her own before the Vow power up and is considered the strongest of them outside Mios full power, Maria in her max life force draining state manhandled Koryuu before Zest and Kurumi joined in to save her burning life force, which would be similar in power to Mio charging up a bit and Chisato is one of the 10 gods. Kurumi though arguably has the best example of where these girls sit in terms of power, when she was able to defeat another of those 4 gods, Suzaku. While she needed to use skill and physics to do so by cutting off its oxygen supply, its worth noting the fire bird had buffed itself by blowing up a ton of oil tankers and absorbing that fire, to the point Kurumi reckoned it could evaporate all of Tokyo Bay, or at least the marine park they were fighting in!

The text actually claims that Suzaku could evaporate the entire bay, and later that Enku, a Qilin, actually did when powered up by a power station. However the text also makes out that evaporating the Edo river, which is much smaller, was a big deal both in terms of power and elemental balance, so its likely only the area in the barrier, which was noted to be small, got evaporated. Given the power the beasts are meant to have, assuming the later would be an outlier as even Shiba needed all 4 gods to potentially destroy Tokyo, a much lesser feat.

This is actually consistent with other S Class heroic spirits leveling city blocks and Basaras own banishing shift, which he first used as a kid to carve a giant crater in a mountain and defeat a similar in strength S Class spirit. Banishing Shift in general is one of the most powerful abilities in the series and one of few reliable counters to Mios gravity powers when they get going. Its not an ability that gets stronger as much as Basara gets more skilled with it, being able to use it to erase things on a more exact level, such as removing Ki from the surrounding area. Power then should more or less equal its power now. Banishing shift ignores durability and has never been really overpowered when fully unleashed, as such you could argue this would not scale to anyone. However its level of destructive power in the childhood instance is the most calcable way of getting stats series wide and consistent with the destruction of S Class enemies later in the series.

But for all this power at her finger tips Mio is far from flawless. She’s inexperienced in combat and training outside the year Shinmai takes place in, with maybe 5 life or death events with 2 or 3 battles each across the 10 volumes with actual combat and some training from Maria, Lucia and Sheera to fill in the void, which is clearly fine, they are strong as shit succubi, but its worth noting. Her gravity magic is not foolproof, even at its most absolute level of defence or offence as shown vs Shiba, most of her spells take time to cast with enchantments and physically she’s rather lacking. Without barriers to take hits, most enemies in the series could mulch her, she constantly gets tired in combat even to the point of passing out and generally is in trouble when a foe gets close.

Also her tits. She cums from a little squeeze quite often. Its noted as her weak point, like all the girls have somewhere, basically serving any kink you, the reader, really desire. Actually on that note, the Master Servant Vow is a double edged sword. Should Basara die she’d lose its power and should she feel she’s betrayed Basara she’ll become a horny mess that can only calm down if Basara makes her cum. Alot. if this is still a problem with the vow is debatable, but it was initially a big concern. Post evolving into the Vow, supposedly the succubus curse is no longer an issue, however it has activated during intimate moments with Basara and the girls. Perhaps only Basara can trigger it, or perhaps the characters were wrong given how rare evolving to the Vow was before they did it en masse.

Ultimately though, Mio and her new family fought heaven hell and earth to be able to settle down, impregnated (are you really surprised) and heading into her third year of high school, ready to live the normal life that was so cruelly ripped from her all that time ago. Though they are all at the ready to go to war with the 10 Gods if they kick up a fuss. Mio and all the others in her orbit are ready to crush anything that stands in the way of their happiness.

….ya geddit, cause gravity powers?

"I'll kill you a hundred times!"

All Right the run downs done, we have two, soon to be one, Its WAIFU FIGHTING TIME!!!!!!!!

I mean, its time for a death battle!

In a certain building behind Kuoh Academy, the former head of the resident Occult Research Club and current Heiress of the Gremory Clan, Rias, was just out of a shower, clad only in two towels, one for her body and one for her hair. "I love the bath back home, but the memories in this one just cleanses like nothing else." She sighed. "and after so much paper work...everyone's busy with new contracts or missions from Akuja for DXD. It's only me and Xenovia in all of Kuoh. After months of supernatural activity everyday having only two devils in the whole town, even if only for the night is...kind of odd. I miss them." but she just shook her head. "No, stop Rias, get it together." she glanced at her replica Kuoh uniform and then to an unsealed envelop separated from the rest of the paperwork on her desk. "After all, your nights not over yet."
Meanwhile, walking through the local park... "I'm telling you its not my fault!" one girl with distinctive red hair, a bodacious figure and eyes like a crimson swimming pool, yelled at her companion, a blue haired girl of similar proportions and a more serious demeanor. This was Mio Naruse and Yuki Nonaka. Yuki scoffed. "You are the one who wanted to spar with me specifically." "But you agreed!" "You also started using your gravity magic. In a spar." "How else can I get better with it?" "And you used the dimension barrier to block a slash from my pure Spirit Sword...." "That things scary!" "You literally asked for it...." Mio pouted. "Besides how was i supposed to know that my spell would bring us here?" Yuki gave a deadpan look "You could have asked Basara, he'd have told you. That much uncontrolled power on an unspecific dimension spell? It got overloaded and sent us wherever..." Yuki gestured around them. "This is." Mio's pout only deepened. "It's not my fault though..." Yuki sighed affectionately. "Mio..." she shook her head. "Look, just...stay here. I'm trained to find my way around unfamiliar places, you aren't. Find a landmark like...that fountain we found earlier, i'll get us set up here until Basara figures out we are gone and you guys use your gravity magic to get us back, alright?" Mio's pout cleared up, just a little and she nodded. "Yeah, I guess." Yuki smiled at her fellow Wife of Basara. "Okay, I won't be long. Stay safe." And she took off while Mio turned around heading back to a very specific fountain.
That was roughly a half hour ago. And Mio was getting bored. She just stood there looking at the moon reflected in the fountain water, swaying side to side as if she was in a light breeze. And then the water started rippling, the moon blacked out for nigh a moment. As if something flew overhead at mach speeds, very close to the ground. "Wha..." she started. "What was that?" Having been subject to attacks an assassination attempts as long as she's had powers, Mio was instantly on edge, looking around. "Is anyone there?" Silence, just the leaves rustling. Mio was not convinced and began charging magic just in case. And then behind her, from the far side of the fountain, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a crimson glow.

"If you wanted to fit in a little around here, using Kuohs uniform would probably have served you better." a more regal voice chuckled. This was Rias Gremory, in said uniform, crimson locks flowing in the wind as she stood on her own magic crest in an intimidation attempt. "and not whatever cheap knock off you are wearing" Mio was equal parts terrified and offended. "Ex...cuse me." "Though I guess any stray devil coming into Kuoh to hide wouldn't have much in the way of brains." "EXCUSE ME?" Rias scoffed. "Look, you must be a new stray, you are way too good looking to have strayed from your master long, so perhaps you don't know how this works. Its my job to bring devils like you in, or just finish you off. Take your pick. Every devil in Kuoh knows you're here." Mio's fight or flight response kicked in the moment Rias mentioned straying from her master. How dare this cunt imply she'd betray Basara! The fact that twice now she'd mentioned devils even in a completely separate dimension hadn't even fully registered. "You...you don't know who you're dealing with. Leave me alone and I might not crush you like a bug." Rias scowled. "Alright then. We do it your way." She coughed before adopting a more regal demeanor. "In the name of the Duke of Gremory, I will eliminate yo..." "Ha!"

FIGHT
Mio used the magic she had charged up to form all the water in the fountain into a geyser, launching all of it at Rias in a high pressure blast. Rias raised up a hand and blocked it with a barrier, her scowl back on her face. "Well that was just rude." and she sent a blast of fire right back. Mio was nonplussed and raised a glyph barrier of her own, the flame spreading around her harmlessly, hitting the trees. The two girls stopped suddenly. "Oh No" said Rias, watching in horror as the park was set alight. "No dimensional barriers..." Mio muttered. But given it wasn't Mio's home being torched, she recovered faster, sending a gust of wind at the Gremory heiress who was sent flying back with a yelp. "See ya!" Mio giggled, before taking off into the night sky with her flight magic. As she left she made one more glyph, forming the gust around Rias into a tornado, pulling the surrounding flame into a vortex extending above the tree top, trying to burn her foe to ash before the battle could really get started. But the Crimson Haired Ruined Princess wouldn't go down so easily. Fire is a plaything for her, but Destruction is her weapon. With a blast of purple magic, the firey tornado was removed from existence and the black Devil wings of Rias flashed in the night sky, the heiress for once flexing her muscles in this field to catch up to her fleeing foe.

"Oh no you don't!" she exclaimed, a glyph forming in her hand preparing another blast of her signature magic. Mio didn't quite know the danger it posed, but that didn't matter, she was prepared for this. Another tornado rose into the sky, once again trapping Rias, shredding some local playground equipment and adding it to the swirling spiral of death. "Gotcha!" she cried. Rias face fell. "This again?" she almost wanted to yawn. "Not quite" Mio smirked. Her fingers sparked. And then the sky split open, the tornado around Rias becoming a plasma coil of death. Rias threw up defensive glyphs around herself, but sparks came from the shards of childrens toys and collided with her only lifeline, making her keep it up constantly with naught a moment to think. So as is Mio's go to, she set her problem on fire. And once again, Rias let lose a blast of her Power of Destruction, replacing Mio's attack with nothingness. This time however, Mio saw Rias escape route and was shocked. "...such power..." Rias tried to take advantage of Mio's momentary lapse in judgement and sent a compressed ball of Destruction at her foe. Mio shook herself out of her stupors just in time to dive slightly below the small sphere of death, watching as it flew into a tree below them and seemed to just remove it from existence. Rias quickly followed up with the same attack, spamming it like a Guile Assist Trophy and his Sonic booms. Mio tried to blast the first few with fire on instinct but the spheres plowed through the flames like they weren't there, Mio needing to duck and dive faster than she ever had before to avoid being evaporated. It was clear to her magic wouldn't work, so she closed her eyes, concentrated and spread her arms, hands glowing purple. A rip in space time opened up in front of her, swallowing up alot of Rias mindless volleys of power, Mio moving it around her as the Gremory heiress zipped around her. it was tough to keep up, but she managed, fear of the destructive purple magic pumping adrenaline through her veins to make up for a now obvious difference in speed. And so it continued for what seemed an eternity to the devils but was, in actuality, just a few seconds. Rias flew around the Kuoh skyline, bombarding her foe with power that would have removed any other stray devil from this plane of existence, while Mio barely kept up, following her assailant while keeping up the rift in front of her to stay alive. Both girls had found an opponent they really disliked fighting. Rias always hated more technical foes and Mio was getting pretty sick of constantly happening across foes who just so happened to be as strong or stronger than her and cutting off her best attacks. "You aren't half bad!" Rias yelled, continuing to throw wave after wave of existence ending energy at the heir of Wilbert "How about I cut you a deal? Serve in my peerage and we can stop fighting! You'd make a great Bishop and I happen to have an opening!" Mio bristled at that, almost losing control of her life saving gravity rift but finally lobbing a blast of fire back. "I'll NEVER betray Basara!" she exclaimed.
'Oddly loyal for a stray' Rias lamented internally while stopping her blasts momentarily to try and convince her foe to lay down arms. "Are you sure? We have a great benefits package and Kuohs a nice place to get contracts!" Mio lost it. "GAH!" She yelled, attempting to close the gap between the two and blast Rias point blank with all her might. Her anger gave her such a boost in speed it momentarily caught Rias off guard, forcing her to begin raising a barrier. But she was too late. Fortunately for her, Mio misjudged her own speed completely, her out stretched hand making contact with the Crimson Haired Ruin Princess, the shock making Mio's built power dissipate harmlessly. Unfortunately for her dignity..... "Hyaaaaaan!" She was slapped right in her massive melons. Mios face turned as red as her hair, while she was used to this kind of thing, not with a complete stranger trying to kill her. Plus if she was anything like Mio herself, which the cry seemed to imply, she may have made her quite mad. Quick! defuse red headed anger bomb! "Uhhh...." she mumbled, dumbly. Mission failed! ABORT! "Bitch!" Rias cried, having gotten over her embarrassment by turning it all to rage as predicted. She let fly with a wild slap of her own, which of course, went straight for Mios own chest mounted bazookas. Unlike Rias however. "NYAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNMMmmmmmmmmmmmm" Mios reaction was much, much more intense. Rias paused. "Did...did you just cu.." "SHUT UP ASSHOLE!" Mio yelled before Rias could confirm what they both already knew, launching a blast of Gravity magic at the devil before her in an attempt to crush her into a ball. Rias instinctively slapped her hand away, forcing the gravity ball up above them where it exploded, pulling all the clouds into a single spot and dissipating them, leaving the two devilish school girls illuminated by the moonlight should anyone look up in the night sky. Rias charged up her own blast of raw magic power, not destruction due to how fast and reflexive the attack was, and shot it straight into Mios chest, sending her flying towards the ground....and a very familiar church. "Oh great." she mumbled. Meanwhile Mio crashed straight through the stained glass window and into the pews below, pews that were already quite battered, some askew, others having been been sliced in half or clearly thrown, and yet Mio managed to seemingly hit every single undisturbed bench and shatter it into splinters, before sliding to a stop face down in the center of the place of worship. "Owwwwwwww...."

Rias touched down on the sacred ground of the church, shivering a little in such a holy place but paying it no mind. Mio rose to her hands and knees, panting. "Well that was a pain" Rias sighed, tossing her hair over her shoulder "but I think we are just about done here, don't you?" Mio looked at her completely unfazed foe in disbelief "she's so strong..." she muttered "But....I can't lose here! The others...Basara..." Her eyes hardened, rallying for one more assault "I won't let you down!" She pushed her palms into the earth, as if trying to push the ground itself out of her path, channeling as much magical energy as she could through it. "Burn in Hellfire!" The ground beneath Rias began to heat up and glow an ominous crimson colour, catching her by surprise. While it was pulling her down towards it, Rias with great difficulty was able to rise into the air, and just in time as pillars of crimson flame erupted from the earth all around Mio, tearing the acursed church apart. "That heat, its like fighting Riser again!" Rias exclaimed, shocked to be facing firepower on such a scale from an unknown. "Oh no you don't!" Mio cried, using all of her skill in manipulating her most powerful magic to turn herself into a center of Gravity on par with some of her strongest black holes, pulling some flames into her which she reformed into a barrier to prevent any counter from that accursed power of her foes, hoping to pull her into the fiery abyss she created. The effort it took to keep such an assault up was excruciating for Mio, easily the hardest magic she's ever had to cast, but she had no real choice. Rias grunted in effort as she was slowly being pulled out of the air into the vortex of flame, debris around her being burned before it even hit the event horizon. She compressed a ball of Destruction into her hand and shot it at the inferno, but it wasn't near strong enough and was swallowed by the blaze. She gasped in shock. "Well, that's impressive." she muttered, before giving a sly smile "But mines bigger!" She suddenly shot out of the pull of the vortex, into the sky, before raising an arm above her head and charging an immense amount of Power of Destruction tinged with crimson, it slowly growing from the size of a golf ball to a tennis ball to a basketball, and expanding still further. Mio looked up at her through the tears of effort and streams of sweat running down her face, gritting her teeth in frustration. "Why...won't...you....leave...me...ALONE!" With the final yell her power expanded even further, the blaze growing larger and larger, to the size of a skyscraper even, starting to pull the Gremory Heiress into its orbit once again. But the time it took to charge that power was too much. "I fought you because its my job" she replied, nonplussed, "But I'll erase you because you punched my tits!" she growled. The ball above her head was now as large as Mios vortex, pulling the air around it that wasn't already consumed in the inferno into it, leaving some debris stranded midair between the two gravitational pulls from the dense magics. "This is my power, I call it the Extinguished Star and it will scatter your essence to the cosmos!" Mio snarled "Try me, I'll kill you a hundred times!" Rias smirked back "You can't even kill me once." And she let the ball fly. Traditionally, Extinguished Star is a slow attack, moving at the speed of a tectonic plate and crushing anything in it's pull like a hydraulic press. Normally however, its victims are desperately trying to flee. Mio was pulling it in with all the force she could muster. Two balls of hyper dense magical energy, sucking everything in like demonic vacuums, pulling each other into a cataclysmic collision like opposing magnetic poles. The spheres collision resulted in a purple flash lighting up the skyline of Kuoh town with an ominous glow, the attacks grinding on each other like gigantic Beyblades. Mio continued to pump her Hellfire magic into her burning barrier at the center of the storm and kept herself as a gravitational center. Rias was being pulled with her ball into the blaze, but she kept pushing it further and further with all her might. Something had to give. Mios barrier bulged, starting to envelop the Power of Destruction. Mio smirked in triumph. "I win!" she yelled before giving a guttural roar, pushing everything she had towards consuming the ball. But the smirk was wiped off her face as her flames failed to grow. The Extinguished Star kept moving forward, the curvature of Mios Hellfire sphere following it as it was pulled into the gaping maw of death. "What?" Rias grin just grew wider. "I told you mine was bigger." Mios face blanched as the death balls slowly encroached upon her position. She dropped her flames and her gravity, letting the spells go, disappearing into the Star and actually slowing it down as its gravity stopped pulling it in, putting all her remaining power into escaping the ball of death with her flight magic. But as soon as she left the ground, she moved towards the ball, not away. unable to escape its pull. "What?" She landed again, flat on her ass, trying desperately to scramble away from encroaching doom, but her flailing hands and feet acted like she was in an oil slick. "Nononono!" She shot fire directly at the ball but it was futile. Rias grabbed onto her own elbow with her free hand, mimicking a pose made famous from one of Issei's favorite anime. "You know, you could have made one hell of a Bishop. Its very rare to find somebody with your potential out of the blue." She gave a weary sigh. "But you chose this. I gave you the out. So in the end....get blown away!"

She pushed a tiny bit more power into the Extinguished Star lifting Mio off the ground. "No..." Mio cried, as she approached the event horizon. "Maria...Yuki....everyone...BASARAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she cried out as she was engulfed.

For Mio, it was pure agony for a solitary second as she was rent asunder into her molecular matter, before blissful oblivion overcame her senses. The instantaneous compression from the force of the attack pulled her very soul into the abyss, leaving nothing to even progress into the afterlife. Rias let the attack dissipate, wiping a bead of sweat from her brow. "Been a while since I had a fight like that. Not bad for a random stray." She gave a wry smile before her face scrunched up into discomfort. "Darn it, wrong Dragonball reference, I could have gone all..." her face became comically deadpan and her voice unnaturally deep "Hakai" then she let out a whine "But I ruined it....and the church..." she looked up to the sky where the sky was tinged red from her and Mios aerial duel "and the....sky...oh the damage bill, the memory wipes....the paperwork...." and with comical tears streaming down her face, Rias took off, heading back to the Hyoudou Household for a much needed bath and cry into Akeno or Issei's shoulder.

KO

Lets be honest, we all knew this was ending with one of them sucking off the other.

Okay so theres a surprising amount going on here. Both girls boil down to tossing magic spells at each other in such a way they actually are uniquely situated to take the other out should the cards be in their favour.

Rias is certainly more experienced than Mio, both training wise and the sheer amount of life or death fights she’s been in, but Mios actually shown to be a better on the fly tactician.
Rias can come up with a broad battle plan, certainly much better than Mio would, such as in the Rating game v Issei where she targeted Ravel and Roygun with all her teams strength from the word go to reduce his own Strategic ability, but when it comes to actual combat, she mostly just spams Power of Destruction and hopes for the best, which has been pointed out as her fatal flaw time and again.
Meanwhile, Mio may be a powerful mage with one of Shinmais most powerful magics at her fingertips by the end of the series, but she uses a much more broad range of elements on the regular, often tailored to taking down an opponent
.
Both Rias and Mio even have experience in dealing with characters exactly like the other, Rias in her battles with other mages like Sona and Kuroka and more, while Mio has had her magic nullified by the likes of the Heroic spirit she fought in the underworld and prevailed.

Mio could, in theory, block some of Rias power of destruction blasts effectively with a dimensional fissure defense. Rias superior speed and stamina makes this a temporary measure at best, if it would even work as Shiba eventually got through it and the power of destruction may just erase the gravity magic itself if it covers a superior area.

And when it comes to their trump cards, both have very specific stops which the other not only has in their wheelhouse, but has as their main method of attack.

The Power of Destruction can be overpowered by people stronger than Rias, which is the main method to beat her and fairly common in DXD as the series goes on, she’s far from a top tier at this point.

While the same is true for Gravity magic, Mio, Basara and Maria have hardly instantly won when they pulled it out, the only way its actually been stopped in Shinmai head on is by Basaras Banishing shift, which destroys targets on a conceptual level….which is exactly what the Power of Destruction does, if its strong enough.

You can probably read between the lines here. This battle is only going to be solved one way, pure magical might, and to put it bluntly, DXD is a much, MUCH more powerful universe by and large than Shinmai.

While Basara did need to be exact with his banishing shift in order to erase the gravity magic, it wasn’t to the conceptual level he would later push it. It was also only necessary so as to not kill Mio, which is not a concern for Rias in a Death Battle

Most of the feats Mio would scale to, such as heroic spirits leveling city blocks or Basaras banishing shift taking out a chunk of a mountain as a child, would only net her Town level stats at best, and while Mio certainly got stronger by the end of the series, Basaras feat only being the strength of an S Class Spirit while Mio was able to one shot one of the Qilin when she went all out, who’s considerably stronger, it’d be hard to get her all that much higher, given the Qilin arent’ that much stronger than the Four Gods...who only top out at Town level as well via supposedly evaporating Tokyo Bays marine park while powered up.

Meanwhile Rias base powers should be above Isseis early Dragon Shot, which is of similar levels of power to both, and even his early Balance Breaker, which evaporated a large mountain with a casual blast.

Maria, Zest and Kurumi were able to beat up Koryuu after using their life force as a fuel for a power up. Mio could presumably do the same in a pinch despite never doing so, given she’s almost as skilled a mage as Zest and Kurumi. Even assuming this stacked with her potentially charging an attack despite the speed blitz and put her at or beyond the likes of Shiba's level, this would not change the outcome

That's to say nothing of Extinguished Star, which scales to Xenovia and ExDurandel almost leveling a more durable Kyoto and Issei's Crimson Blaster ACTUALLY leveling AltKyoto.

Like DXD, Shinmais fights tend to take place in alternate dimensional replicas of where they are fighting, so the damage can be reset when the fight is over, possibly even death in certain barriers. However these dimensions are not more durable areas like Kyoto was noted to be.

Even if we assumed Mio's black holes were legitimate Black Holes, which they aren’t due to her and Basara making/opening different dimensions with them, given the size of the “””singularity””” it wouldn’t surpass Extinguished Star, which honestly is more black hole like than Mio's attacks, even using calcs for a normal Kyoto. And honestly, given the casts exponential growth since then, I wouldn’t even be against Scaling base Rias power to this at present point of canon, but we haven’t seen Base Rias fight in a long time now.

Basara is stated to create an infinite dimension in order to theoretically block any attack with his Universal Rejection gravity technique. This has never truly been tested, as the verse only had town level power to throw at him, and even then, it couldn’t block all of Shibas' attacks, with Basara having to focus on blocking only one aspect of Shiba's power with it, his Ki to bypass his defenses. Mio also would not scale regardless and giving this benefit of the doubt to Basara would do similar for Ophis "infinite" power which Top tiers can compete with based on Isseis True DXD form.

Speed is a problem Mio couldn’t really keep up with either. Fodder in both series have lightning timing, but even moving further into the series it took high tiers like Zest to make it casual.

Rias is superior to fodder later in the series who can block light based attacks with mirrors AFTER its been fired, and by now could likely react to the Faster than Light Balance breaker Vali, speeds that flat out don’t exist in Shinmai, with Basara being stated to move at near light speeds at best near the end of the series, and speeds his whole thing to the point he’s even faster than God tiers, plus unlike the DXD stuff, its only a statement with no real backing, or even similar statements elsewhere in the LNs.

This means even with its long charge time, Rias could easily put Mio in a position to have to take Extinguished Star, which is a death sentence for Wilberts heir. Stacked with other minor advantages, like Rias being the stronger and more experienced up close fighter should it ever come to that for some reason and her much greater battle stamina (though as of now, Mio would beat her out in the sack!) means that eventually, Mio is just going to get overwhelmed.

Even assuming Rias does not scale to Balance Breaker Valis light speed statements, as speed is his forte, the Crocell feat is more than enough to blitz

Lets go all out here and give Mio everything we feasibly can. Scaling Mio to Wilberts full power and scaling him to the likes of Shiba, Shiba needed to utilize the power of the four gods rampaging in order to “””destroy””” Tokyo and thus Japan, via the political and financial fallout, not even levelling it. Or how about Mio potentially trying to call Basara and his harem to her side via the Master Servant Vow?

Rias would still come out ahead.

Maou like Serafall (whos about as legitimate to scale Rias to as Mio to Wilbert) can also destroy Japan, except she could actually destroy it, casually with non combat magic, and unlike Mio, Rias actually can call in back up in the form of castling, it wouldn’t just be an assumption.

And outside Basara, Rias potential supports are much more beneficial, with several members having anti Demon magic on hand (I.e. half of Mios potential allies) including Koneko who she’d actually summon via castling, and Issei and Gasper being able to buff Rias, giving her access to her super forms. Which actually would take her into Serafells level of power, and possibly even beyond.

Koryuus full power, which Shiba planned to use to attack the Vatican from Japan, is not planet level despite him being the dragon of earth, nor does it grant omnipotence. While the language is flowery, as is standard for LNs, the book makes it pretty clear he was going to use the planets spiritual power to blast them with the Earths eneergy itself and his “omnipotence” was his ability to attack anywhere on earth at once, with his “Threat to creation” being his raw power being enough to fight the ten gods.

Mio's skill and tenacity kept Rias on her toes, but in the face of the Gremory heiress overwhelming Power of Destruction, Mio died a hundred times over.

Looks like this was the Last Will and Testament of a Sister New Devil.

The winner is Rias Gremory.

Cause these two are the height of weeb bait series and not something people would normally associate with me. truth is, DXD was a series i got into ~2 years ago at a really dark point in my life. exceptionally dark, like i was watching DXDs anime adaptation having read the LN on what is comfortably the worst night of my life. its hardly my favorite series ever but i'd be lying if i claimed i didn't care for it getting me through that point. I heard the name thrown around and read the LN, cause Source, before really knowing what i was getting into. Its true what they say, come for the """plot""" stay for the plot, its also pretty wholesome at its core. Also look the Irish dragon is stronger than the English and Welsh Dragon now, thats basically cheating. As for Shinmai? I guess like most, i got into it as a kind of next step on from DXD, but its just not as good imo. Its plot, characters, tone, designs, all lesser to me. Its missing something, which i THINK is how it treats its lewdness. Its like theres two different stories in it, one super serious generic ln plot and then a doujin, that are loosely connected because one powers up the other. DXD its like its a light hearted story 90% of the time and when combat DOES get serious, the gag is that the power of tits saves the day in dumb ways. IDK i'm rambling, but needless to say, these two series kinda took advantage of me at my lowest mental state and...well here i am. As for the fight? I knew going in Rias is probably gonna win, but Mio surprisingly held her own, even up till the last few days i almost swapped to giving her a dub. Shinmai isn't covered well at all in VS, and that Tokyo bay feat would be ridiculously powerful if it was the whole bay, enough to put Shinmai characters up with High tier DXD feats, but its the only one on that size and very outliery, hence why i discarded it. Both girls are cool, but i'd say neither are best girl for me, thats Xenovia and Yuki and yes i apparently have a type, was news to me too, so i was pretty willing to kill either off. Its not a fight in my comfort zone, both material wise and combat wise, hence why i did it. That and relatively short material to research. I wanted to push myself writing wise, not reading wise. i'm not sure if i like the analysis portion, but i'm happy with how the fight came out. Anyway, thats it from me this time. Now i have to start One Piece cause i'm a man of my word. I guess if i wanna do that, keep up with other hobbies and keep making these i better pick a match next that i know the source for them all front to back already. something i'm intimately familiar with unlike here. Something only i can do

Yeah. Yeah that'll do. Follow me on Twitter or join the Discussing Death Battle Discord if you wanna contact me, i'm not putting comments on for my own mental health lol. Until next time, remember, Gacha is hell and i'm stuck there this is a cry for help.
